Besten was founded in 1974 in suburban Cleveland, Ohio. Since its inception, Besten has focused on machinery for the insulated glass industry. Initially, Besten focused on dual seal equipment for vertical and horizontal production lines.

Besten became well known for its roller press and subsequent heated roller press systems. In fact, Besten is the leading press manufacturer in the world. In 1978, Besten developed the first swiggle heated roller press. In the 1980's and 1990's continuing innovation and development propelled Besten to its leadership position among insulated glass equipment manufacturers.

In 1991, Besten developed its industry leading AGT-1. The AGT-1 backbedding applicator is a high performance, servo-driven glazing table for the fenestration industry.

For almost 30 years, Besten Inc. has been building & developing specialized equipment, based on its original ideals of assuring maximum productivity and highest quality at the lowest costs.
